When A Shoestring Indie Superhero Movie Makes Marvel and DC Look Lame

I watched the first 20 or so minutes of Aquqman: The Lost Kingdom with my parents and bailed. I just can’t deal with corporate superhero movies anymore; nothing about them feels genuine. So I finally got around to watching an indie tokusatsu movie called Ork.
In its ~40 minute runtime, it’s a way better experience than 2 hours of the latest blockbuster. Characters with grounded arcs, a larger than life villain, unique costume designs that don’t feel derivative to make merchandise, powers, abilities, skills, and fights that feel like extensions of these characters that weren’t just added for style. All of which was filmed on a iPhone, complete with editing, cuts, and angles to show off the best effect of a story. Everything was on a shoestring budget compared to those multimillion dollar showboats. It made me look forward to seeing the rest of this video’s channel.
