Mad Cave is really going all-in on the licensing. (Sigh…) I’m getting so many requests, that it’s just not feasible for me to devote everything on Gutternaut. Especially with the maintenance I have to do on there right now.
Gutternaut Under Maintenance
So some posts might be delayed because I just changed my SEO software from Yoast to All-In-One SEO. I need to make changes and increase awareness. Besides it came with some features like tracking broken links that I need to fix. I needed an excuse to update some old posts anyway. Just wish I knew the best internal posts to link to. I can’t afford to get…
So I’m gonna do some speed reviews.
Kosher Mafia: Interesting premise but choppy editing for a first impression. 6.5/10.
A Phone Call Away: A simply thrilling… crime thriller! Where true crime and live-stream TV collide in engrossing moral gray areas. 8.5/10
Navigating With You: Very relatable characters, especially on my end. I’m an introvert like the POV even without the same disability so I relate to Neesha wanting to keep her head down and getting overwhelmed with people trying to accommodate her. Not to mention how layered she is as a person. She speaks up for others but still keeps her guard up because it’s harder to speak up for herself. Gotta give a lot of credit to the presentation of how Neesha grows her relationship with the deurtag Gabby in something very niche. Nothing feels forced or overdone, it gives the feeling that anyone can relate to these girls. 10/10
Flash Gordon #1: Good but not for first-timers. Didn’t care enough about Flash or Dale to see the significance of events. Hopefully more issues can fix that. 6.5/10
Defenders of the Earth: This meanwhile is a great entry point to the King Feature’s shared universe. There’s a sense of scale and history without indulging in it. The cast is dealing with the weight of legacy that the reader can feel in each page. Most of them are wrapped in familial issues that make you feel for everybody. Especially since the event that caused it all isn’t really over. 8.5/10
Wow… So much less stress than normal reviews. Wonder how well this will perform.
Thanks for coming to the end and as always remember to look between the panels.
