Mad Cave Reviews #43
Here's To Chilling With Crazy
Been a while since it was just Mad Cave. Vediamo la follia.
The Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre #2: Laughed a good couple of times, overexaggerated overreactions are my cocaine. Especially with the expressions and bright imagery. Plus the 80s media satire on a pace makes it twice as memorable. 9/10
Is Ted OK? #2: Some really tense development. Character arcs, interactions with page layouts and captions that highlight dynamics, and scaling of a bigger, wider world that’s unbelievable. And this comic knows its effect on people. 9.5/10
The New Space Age #4: This felt heavy, couldn’t tell if it was the emotional damage, or the expressions and scale of how wonders can go wrong. To say nothing of how these can turn that tone around into something better. 9.5/10
Liquidator #5: Satisfaction is all around, especially in a creative way for development. From feeling like you’re an extra on stage to getting control of your life with a camera centering on you. 8.5/10
Ferocious #5: And so it all ends. All of the weight from actions and arcs feel heavy and decisive. More than that what’s left behind, imprinting, survivor’s guilt, and carrying all of the weight. 9.5/10
