The requests for this week are…
Student Government: …Wow, just wow… awkward dialogue up the wazoo, totally flat characterizations, sterile compositions and page layouts, out-of-place editing choices, a conflict where you can’t feel the stakes… This is just… 5/10
Blade Forger #1: Much better! Very unorthodox too. Maybe I’m too used to stories about becoming the very best at some niche to change the world. But after living through several campaigns and terms, the real plot about feel good candidates unable to live up the symbols their endorsers invested their needs in is a breath of fresh air. There’s a strong sense of a savior’s timeline with fanatical followings. As well as the renewal of symbols to keep everything going. 8.5/10
The conclusion of this mini-series lands the character arcs perfectly. How? Like this: concerns about threats are realized, strength is found in reflection as much as faith, it’s a great reward after intense face-offs with mortality. 8.5/10
