Hi again, end of the month came by pretty quickly but at least I managed to get some reading done. Plus I made some content to make the best use of it. But I’m still wondering if one of those travel affiliate programs will consider my website for their services. Right now I’ve got three posts, but I wonder if I need 5 or 10.
In any case here are the this month’s major posts, including an edit.
Madame Mirage, a comic by Batman maestro Paul Dini
Big Cypress Swamp, all of that reading of Man-Thing pays off here
Capepunk, because we need a better definition of this genre than edgelord deconstructions
Unlikely Heroes’ Power Broker with issue 2 edits
Book of Shadows, a magical superhero team review of its first issue
Lance Barnes: Post-Nuke Dick, a review for an incomplete trade I have on my shelf
My opinion on why The Mask declined in quality even with a more recent release. And no, I’m not talking about the movie franchise.
And the thing that’s been taking my time for a while, a comprehensive look at why British Comics do a better job staying in the public than American Comics do.
Next month will have some of the same, review requests here. Doing something related to what I’ve been reading there. I have one thing to review and that’s Knuckleheads. If you’ve never heard of this title, that’s why I’m reminding you about it. I’ve read it a long time ago, and enjoyed it and want to tell everybody why it’s something pretty great. Plus I gotta ask myself if it’ll continue.
Finally, I’ll be devoting a lot of energy to finally getting a Creator Highlights for Mark Gruenwald. I’ve got a list of reading material, and I’m taking notes on what to take from them. Okay, yeah I’ve got lists for Christopher Priest and John Ridley too. But Gruenwald comes up even more times than they do, there’ve been panels dedicated to the guy at San Diego Comic Cons.
