End of the month again. Don’t know how long I managed to pull off so many reviews. Honestly some of them were exhausting and I had to break my rule of nothing higher than an 8/10. But then again, I still found things to be entertained by. Especially in series that are way more action focused with comedic payoffs. Doesn’t mean I won’t start charging people if they want their requests to be priority. Come on guys, I don’t even have Google Ads because my dad didn’t buy anything he clicked on. At two dollars on my Ko-Fi at least, I still don’t know how to do Patreon.
Anyway… recognition aside I have made a few notable posts this month.
From Mad Cave (Congratulations to these people for their company’s advancement via better business decisions):
A Legacy of Violence - A chilling thriller surrounding the aftereffects of Unit 731
Nottingham: A King’s Ransom - The Grimdark Robin Hood tale continues
Lower Your Sights - Best Benefit Anthology I’ve Read In a Long Time
Valiant Reviews (Farewell to yet another comedy series because this company’s bigwigs treated their properties more like investments):
Other Reviews (Because they were just too fun)
Finally one post that isn’t a review:
So what’s coming for September? Well I’ll be making more progress with Creative Highlights and Adaptations Done Right posts thanks to my Hoopla Membership. Turns out having a time limit with a borrowed comic is a better motivation to read through it than just letting it sit in my Comixology Account. It definitely helped with a post dedicated to Superman: Unbound/Brainiac as well as more Mark Gruenwald series like US Agent and Hawkeye.
Maybe I’ll even take the opportunity to introduce readers to a manga called Magico. Or an indie series that makes the best use of AR in a comic books called Neon Wasteland. But seriously if anybody wants that to be a priority, they’re gonna have to give me an incentive. I’ll leave polls on Patreon.
In any case, September is going to be a busy month. Aside from reading comic books, I’ve been watching a lot of HBOMax. Mainly because I don’t know what’ll happen to my save list after this whole Discovery merger. Managed to get through a lot of DC movies and of course catch up on Harley Quinn’s animated series. I’m hoping to finish Wes Craven’s New Nightmare at some point.
Plus I’m still writing fan-fiction, although I don’t often finish them. Some of which involve Steve Ditko’s creations like Doctor Strange. Others involve Freddy Krueger involving himself in a shared universe of slashers. And one that I really want a surprise payoff for, so I can’t go into much detail other than it involves ninjas.
Thanks for sticking around, it’s always appreciated.
